Dual Enrolled High School Student

Pursuant to §1007.271(1), Florida Statutes, the dual enrollment program is the enrollment of an eligible secondary student or home education student in a postsecondary course creditable toward high school completion and a career certificate or an associate or baccalaureate degree.

An eligible secondary student is a student who is enrolled in a Florida public secondary school or in a Florida private secondary school which is in compliance with §1002.42(2), Florida Statutes, and conducts a secondary curriculum pursuant to §1003.43, Florida Statutes. The graduation requirements for the secondary curriculum include a minimum of 24 academic credits in grades 9 through 12 or an International Baccalaureate curriculum.

Placement Testing Information 

Secondary students who desire to participate in the dual enrollment program must be tested for college placement purposes. 

Qualifying test scores are as follows:

ACT English 17
Reading 18
Math 19-20 (Placement: MAT1033)
Math 21 and above (Placement college-level-math: MAC1105, STA2023, MGF1106, MGF1107)
SAT Critical Reading 440
Math 440-549 (Placement: MAT1033)
MATH 550 and above (Placement college-level math: MAC1105, STA2023, MGF1106, MGF1107)
CPT Reading Comprehension 83
Sentence Skills 83
Algebra 72-87 (Placement: MAT1033)
Algebra 88 and above (Placement college-level math: MAC1105, STA2023, MGF1106, MGF1107)
